Approve or Amend Agenda, Town Board Meeting, May 1, 2007

            Copies of the last town board regular meeting and this meeting’s agenda along with a list of claims to be paid are available for those who attend this meeting.

 

Requests to be on the Agenda:

1. 7:00 Knife River Corporation (Continued from April 17, 2007)  Conditional Use  Permit for temporary gravel pit and asphalt operations for Highway 24 project.

 

2. 7:30 Ward Huston, 11263 Hollister Avenue, PID 206-056-004020.  Plans a 12x24, 288 s/f addition to 20x24 cabin.  Continued use of holding tank.  Install a new roof.  Cabin is 79’ from lake and deck is 20’ closer and existing cabin is 5.1 to side lot.

3. 7:45 Don Peterson, 11215 Hollister, PID 206-056-003020  Plans to build home on undersized lot that is 18,400 s/f and home would be 56’ from the ordinary highwater mark of the lake.  Has site plan. (parcel map)

Other Items

1.                  Wright County Board of Commissioners Public Hearing 5/1/07, 10:00 a.m. petition requesting

 the formation of a lake improvement district for Mink Lake and Somers Lake. County Board will act within ten to thirty days after the public meeting.  If Town Board has comment, forward response to Brian Asleson, Chief Deputy Attorney.  (Clerk forwarded copies of hearing notice to town board, April 19, 2007)

 

2.         Johnson, Larson, Peterson and Matt, ltr 4/20/07, request for Quiet Title Action.  Michael Hankee, Cedar Lake, boundary lines have been monumented with iron stakes.  If board agrees boundaries are in proper location, no contact necessary except for returning Acknowledgement.  (Copies of correspondence for board).

 

3.         Planning and Zoning, letter 4/23/07, request for letter stating official stance on the gravel and mining moratorium and any new rules that may have been adopted during this time.  Hearing for Knife River’s petition is scheduled for May 10.  Planning Commission needs documentation from township before any decision on the petition is made. 4.         City of Annandale, letter of 4/25/07  with copy of new Natural Resource Protection Ordinance:

Asks town board to review new ordinance and city would welcome opportunity to discuss the goals of the ordinance, and how the principles of the ordinance are based on may be compatible with town’s own visions of land use and natural resource protection..  (copy of letter and ordinance for board)

5,         Planning and Zoning administration:

A.     Corinna Township Planning Commission next monthly meeting:  Thursday, 7 p.m., May 10, 2007.

6.         Public Hearing:  Wright County Planning Commission, Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 1 p.m.

            (Continued Hearing for Adoption of the Northeast Quadrant Land Use Plan for Wright County).

 

7.         103rd Street Road Reconstruction.  Kjolhaug Environmental Services to obtain wetland credits.

 

8.         Wright County Commissioner and township Supevisor Communication Meeting:  June 21, 2007.  Question submittal due May 25.

 

9.         Highway 55 Coalition Meeting scheduled for Friday, June 15, 2007, 9:30 a.m., Hennepin County Medina Office.
