1.         Corinna Township Planning and Zoning:

            A.            October 8, 2007,Charles Marohn, Township Planner, forwarded copy of letter sent to Tom Salkowski, Wright County P&Z Administrator, stating that Township is aware County intends to retain legal services of John Baker; township is postponing assumption of local zoning administration until November 15, 2007 and township has also retained assistance of Peter Tiede with the hope that the 30-day postponement will give legal professionals time to identify any outstanding issues or areas of legal concern.  Township intends to administer land use controls in a manner that is consistent with and at least as restrictive as Wright County.  Final statement was that anything we can do together to further that objective would be welcomed by township officials.  (E-Mail copy of letter to Town Board)

.           B.          Township Attorney Tim Young forwarded a copy of actual presentation that Tom Salkowski gave to County Board Committee of the Whole.  (copy was forwarded by Tom Salkowski to Tim Young)  (Town Board received a copy 10/2/07 from Township Planning Commission Chairman)

            C.            Township Insurance includes Planning and Zoning.

            D.            Special Board Meeting October 10, 2007 (posted town bulletin board).  Mpls Star and Tribune Reporter requested to meet with town board to discuss Corinna Township to administer Planning and Zoning.

            G.            Planning Commission Public Hearing, October 11, 2007 to discuss Subdivision Ordinance.

                        (1).            10/9/07, FAX from Wright County Planning and Zoning stated

County and Tom Salkowski’s office were not notified of this public hearing related to land use. (Copy to Board)

2.            Township Land and Cemetery at 108th Street.   Land appraisal.

3..        Junk Violations:  Supervisor John Dearing made a site inspection of the two violators and  as no attempt for clean up has been made, correspondence was forwarded to Sheriff’s Office for follow up and for possible legal action: (Meeting: copy of two letters to town board)

4.         103rd Street Road Reconstruction.  Update. 

5.         Wright County Township Officer’s Association Meeting, 1/4/07.  Two town board members attended.         

            Minnesota Pilot Sign Project, County/Township Agreement for Town Road Sign Replacement Program   Wayne Fingalson, Wright County Highway Department, hopes that all townships will submit an approved agreement            (Meeting: copy of agreement for board)

6.            Minnesota Association of Townships Legal Seminar, October 11-12.  Dick Naaktgeboren planned to attend.

7.         Metal Fabrication warehouse.  Scott Deckert of Wright County Planning and Zoning, forwarded copy of letter dated 9/21//07 that warehouse has raw material stored outside and a large amount of other outdoor storage.  Failure to comply with terms of Conditional Use Permit will risk a revocation of the permit and/or legal action.

8.         Elton and Gloria Schuette,  11341 Hollister Ave NW. (Telephone call 10/5/07)

The Schuettes received a permit to build on footprint of cabin and add a 14x20 garage. Request to proceed with legal description for a perpetual easement that allows property owner Peter Ramme family and succeeding property owners walking access on part of vacated land.

9.         Robert Dahl, 6829 Ingram Ave NW.  Further action for road washout problem?

10.            Charlene Donnelly, Gardendale Center.  Followup on complaints, 10/2/07 town board meeting, regarding Lake Center Bar and Grill and “No Parking” sign reinstalled.

11.            Kathleen Braun, 9252 67th Street (10/8/07 telephone request)  Township should consider the three commercial properties heavy use of road and pave the road.  R. C. Carlson yard is a mess created by all the outside storage.

12.            Barbara Scherek, 9182 Kilbury Ave NW, letter 10/3/07.  Request for removal of sand, leaves and general debris from culvert that runs under her entrance road.  Debris is closing off the culvert and allows the water to back up into garage.   (copy of letter to Maintenance Men, 10/5/07) (Meeting:  copy of letter to town board)

13.       Sandy Lake Resident report:  (telephone call 10/3/07)   Has the Sandy Lake gravel pit been opened as several loads of sand/gravel have been hauled away?

14.            Random Drug Testing:  Maintenance Department:  Drug Screen Results were  Negative.
