Other Business:

1.         Corinna Township Planning and Zoning:  August 23, Tom Salkowski, Administrator for Wright County Planning and Zoning, was mailed a letter with enclosures of the Resolution 07-03 adopting Corinna Township Comprehensive Plan and Policy 07-01 covering Intergovernmental Communication and statement that Corinna Township has a target date of October 15, 2007 to begin its Planning and Zoning.

            Corinna Township Planning Commission:  Next meeting:  September 13, 2007

2.         Elton and Gloria Schuette Portion of Hollister Road Vacation.   Variance hearing is scheduled for Friday, September 7, 2007 with Wright County Office.  If building permit is allowed, easement for a turnaround and perpetual use easement for neighbor, Peter Ramme are to be prepared.

3.         103rd Street Road Reconstruction.  Wright County Soil and Water Conservation District held a Technical Evaluation Panel meeting was August 27, 2007.  John planned to attend.

4.         Junk Violations:  Letters were mailed to property owner that property must be cleaned up in 30 days or by September 9, 2007:

            8111 Griffith Avenue NW.  Property owner, Richard Smith, telephoned that a roll off to be delivered August 23rd and area to be cleaned up.

            8611 Griffith Avenue NW.  Property owner, Robert Balogh,  Complaint received that yard has not been mowed and weeds make for a “messy” yard.

            9167 Kilbury Ave NW.  Property owner, Ron Worden.  Complaint received that yard contains junk, several vehicles, trailers and furniture.

5.         HAVA Grant for Elections.  Application has been received to apply for funds for installing an automatic door opener for improved accessibility to polling place for persons with disabilities.

6.         Audit for 2006.  As of 8/29, no report has been received.

7.         Craig Johnson, 9363 67th Street (continued from August 21, 2007).  Inquiry if target practice is permitted in his backyard.  John Dearing offered to make a site visit.

8.         Robert Dahl, 6829 Ingram Ave NW. continued from, August 21, 2007).  Road washout problem in front of driveway.  Town board to make a site visit.

9.         Township land and nearby cemetery at 108th Street.  Survey has been ordered.

10.       Lee and Marilyn Carlson, 8601 State Highway 25 NW. (telephone request).  Neighbor’s land contributes to a water runoff problem.  Could township give some assistance?

11.       No Parking on Township Road:  Should township have an ordinance in place?

12.       Clearwater River Watershed District, 8/27/07, notice:  (posted 8/31/07)

                        Farmers who are willing to leave abuffer of untilled soybean

                        stubble over winter along drainage ditches, streams, or other

                        bodies of water in the Cedar Lake Drainage Area, should contact                                              Administrator Merle Anderson of the Clearwater River Watershed                                               District.  He can be reached at (320) 202-0554 or at                                                                merleanderson@cloudnet.com.

                        Incentive payment is $50 per acre.
