Approve or Amend:  Township Meeting Minutes, April 5, 2005

Approve or Amend:  April 19, 2005 Agenda.

Requests to be on the Agenda:

1.  7:00  Joseph and Mary Theede, 11317 Hollister Ave N.  Request variance to replace and existing deck that will be at 40’ too close to the ordinary highwater mark of the lake.  Septic and well are across the road. Drawings will be presented.

2.  7:10  Tab Ashwill, 11969 89th Street NW.  Submit petition to pave 89th and Linn Ave.

3.  7:30  Judith Grega, 11725 103rd Street.  Request that when road is reconstructed that garage may remain 2’ off the right of way.

4,  7:45  Jeff Nonhof, 7247 120th St NW.  Request variance for addition of a deck onto house that would be too close to the lake.

5.  7:50  Ken Braun, Cadabra Project, 67th and Jenkins.  Request township to maintain the development’s four sediment ponds.

Other Business.

1.         103rd Street Reconstruction.  Contractor bids were due at engineer’s office, April 5.  April 8, a letter was sent to the Clearwater River Watershed Board requesting consideration for a project to locate and inventory septic systems along 103rd Street. 

2.         Siren on Kramer Avenue.  Two storm sirens one on Kramer Avenue and another on Bayview Road has been installed by the Clearwater Lake Property Owners Association.  Second request if township would reconsider seasonal utility payment of about $128 for the one siren located in Corinna Township on Kramer Avenue.

3.         Clean Up Request.  A real estate agent called that at 106th and Grunewald a property has approximately twenty vehicles and this makes a junky appearance for the neighborhood.

4          Seerti Hills, Maki Development.  Otto Associates forwarded a letter November 15, 2004 stating that the grading and street construction for the project is complete and has been constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.  At the December 7, 2004 Township Board Meeting, the board accepted the street improvements.

5.         Wright County Township Officer’s Association Meeting, April 14, 2005.   Overview of meeting:   Pat Sawatzke, Commissioner, spoke to promote the 150th Anniversary of Wright County.  Saturday, June 25, 2005 the County Historical Society has organized a celebration.   House Bill is being introduced covering voting equipment funding for an Automark, a precinct machine tabulator to allow disabled voters to cast their vote.  Townships may sign up for direct deposit of tax monies.  Second Board of Equalization Training for supervisors is being offered in fall.  A Slide presentation of Corridor 55 progress and Carla Heeter gave an excellent presentation of the growing and disastrous Methane drug use problem in Wright County.

6.         Board of Appeal and Equalization, April 14, 2005.  One request will be continued to the May 3, 2005 Town Board Meeting.  The township now has a computer disc file containing the characteristics for market value of each property.

7.         Building Permits:  3/28-4/6/2005 (8)  2-homes; 2-septic systems; 1-deck; 1-garage; 1-alteration; and 1-addition.             

8.         New Town Hall Building:  Discussion.

9.         CTAS Update.  An updated version of CTAS has been installed on town computer.  The State required Township Annual Financial Report may now be compiled and submitted electronically from a file created by CTAS..  Other accounting issues were improved.  In the new version a note was added to the instructions that an error was discovered and beginning balances had to be manually entered.
