CORINNA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

Approve or Amend:  Township Meeting Minutes, July 20, 2004

Approve or Amend:  Consent to the August 3, 2004 Agenda or add/remove items.

A copy of the previous meeting minutes, agenda for this meeting and a list of the claims to be paid are available for those attending this meeting.

 

Road Vacation Hearing for:  Lot 9, Bass-Clearwater Shores

            The 266.5 s/f portion of a dedicated road, Knowles Ave NW at the street address        of 11708 Knowles Avenue NW.

 

If road vacation is approved, Chairman is to sign resolution. Clerk will prepare Notice of Completion and have the vacated road description filed at the County Recorder's Office.

 

Requests to be on the Agenda:

1.         Ron Enter, 11708 Knowles Avenue NW, Bass Lake (continued from 7/6/04 meeting).  Mr. Enter plans to demolish present cabin and add a new cabin that would be placed on an undersized lot that would be too close to road, lake and property line.

2.7:45  Kim Hochstein, cabin at 11728 Knowles Ave NW, Bass Lake.  Plans to move Ron Enter's existing cabin to his lot.  Will have a new well and septic system.  Cabin would be less than 75' from lake.  Has survey

            Kathy Digitano has cabin next to Kim Hochstein and wishes to state her concerns.

3.8:00  Roger Pippo, 7800 106th Street.  Has concerns with water runoff on new road along 106th.      

4. 8:15 William and Barbara Fairbanks, 7493 Ingram.  Plans are to remodel house which  is less than the required 75' from the ordinary high water mark of the lake.  Has survey.

5. 8:30  Ross and Linda Fitzsimmons, 10869 Lawrence Avenue, Clearwater Lake.

Plans are for an addition on a cabin that is less than the required 75' from the ordinary high water mark of the lake.  Has survey.  Has a shared well system and feels his septic system meets requirements.

6.         Kathleen Braun, 9252 67th Street NW.  (TP request)  Has three plots which are being developed and will have roads built to township specifications.  Tom Salkowski of Wright County P & Z wishes a letter from the township stating that once the roads are built to township specifications, the township will take over the roads and maintain them.  (description of the three plots are on file).

Other Items:

1.         Isaak Ave to 75th and 78th St Projects.  Progress report.  Bill Westhoff of 7898 Irvine has a lot with pole barn that does not appear to have access to the road.  John Dearing and Engineer will meet with Mr.Westhoff during the Tuesday, August 3, road inspection.  July 26, Attorney Tim Young forwarded the $465,000 improvement bond request for Ireland Avenue and 96th Street Project and Cedar Acres Project of Isaak Avenue and 78th Street to Bond Attorney, David Kennedy, to review.

2.         80th Street/Hemlock Road Improvement.  Progress report.  July 26, Attorney Tim Young forwarded the request for a General Obligation Certificate of Indebtedness for $375,000 covering two road projects:  80th Street total reconstruction of the road and Ireland Avenue for an overlay of an existing paved road to Bond Attorney David Kennedy to review.

3.         Topfer Road Relocation Project.  Project completed?

4.         Realign 110th and Gulden.  Project completed?  Dick Naaktgeboren is to obtain legal description of the road portion to be vacated.

5.         103rd Street Reconstruction.  Engineer report due in August.

6.         Website:   Lakedale Communications' plant facilities has recently installed electronic cabinets strategically placed for consumer services.  Response time for Corinna's website has greatly improved.

7.         Junk Amnesty Day, Saturday, July 31, 2004.  281 loads of junk were unloaded by the youth workers and STS crew.  Many of the property owners expressed appreciation for this day.  Quantity details and expenses will be compiled for the next town board meeting.

8.         Primary Election, September 14, 7AM-8PM.   Clerk will be forwarding absentee ballots for both elections.  The election judges will receive training August 9.  (Complete list of judges will be available at the meeting).

9.         Complaint forwarded to Building Inspector:  Resident reported that home at 7179 Imhoff was being remodeled that is in such bad condition that it is unrepairable.  Building Inspector was notified to investigate.      

10.       Orderly Annexation Agreement with the City of Maple LakeMaple Lake Attorney, Rhonda Pagel requests Board to forward letter outlining the provisions to be included in the agreement.  (7/23 letter available at meeting)

11.       Wright County Water Management.  County water plan expires in 2005.  As a revised and more current water plan needs to be written, the county board wishes to update the water plan and areas within Wright County are going to be prioritized.  Survey to be submitted before August 31.  (copy of survey available at meeting.)

12.       Operating Engineers Local #49 Health and Welfare Fund Audit covering 1/02-12/03.  Auditor from Wilson-McShane Corporation may be examining township payroll and related records covering the specific dates.  Audit to occur between the dates of 8/02/04 and 8/16/04.
