Approve or Amend:  Township Meeting Minutes, January 4, 2005

Approve or Amend:   Consent to the January 18, 2005 Agenda or add/remove items.

Requests to be on the Agenda:

1.         Wright County Township Response Form:  Joseph and Marlys Harbinson, Lot 31, De-O-Na-Ga-No. Clearwater LakePetitions for a Conditional Use Pemit to allow a maximum of 600 cubic yards of fill to elevate new house on lot to meet flood plain regulations.  (Fill over 50 cubic yards in a shoreland district and fill in flood fringe areas requires a Conditional Use Permit).

Other Items:

1.         Request:  Portion of Irvine Road to be Vacated.  Office has not received survey and description of what area is to be vacated.

2.         103rd Street Reconstruction:  Engineering report completed?

3.         89th Street and Linn Ave NW Paving Project.  Informational Hearing is Wednesday, January 26, 2005.  Hearing notice was published and individual property owners were notified of the hearing by mail

4.         Request:  Portion of 118th Street NW to be vacated.  Mr. Foster is to provide a survey of the portion to be vacated.

5.         Operation Clean Up

            Steve Leinonen, 11718 Kramer Ave NW         Letter, 12/10/2004

            Complaint:  Yard has six vehicles without motors, 2 large truck bodies and a large         lot filled with piles of junk.

            Deadline:  30 days or January 10, 2005.  2nd follow up letter is to be sent.

            January 6, 2005, Mr. Leinonen telephoned that he is in process of clearing the area.  Four vehicles have been moved.  He has been cleaning up behind the building.  He takes the metal from the junk piles into his building workshop for cutting up.  One truck body is being sold and the other is an unlicensed trailer.  Due to the cold winter weather he wishes an extension of time for continuing this cleanup work.

6.         Filing for Supervisor.  Ken Jude filed as officer to be elected as supervisor for three years, the term of David Stumpf, expiring.  Township Election is Tuesday, March 8, 2005.  Voting hours are 12:00 noon to 8 p.m.  Absentee Voting will be available at the clerk’s office beginning Friday, February 4, 2005.

7.         Letter, 1/6/2005, Larry and Mary Tysk, appeal for help with Wright County request to limit lot coverage at 25%        (copy of letter at meeting)

8.         Application for Exempt Permit for conducting lawful gambling activity for Friendship Ventures, December 9, 2005.

9.         Building Permits – 12/13/2004-1/6/2005 (5)  1-new home; 1-garage, 1-addition, and 2-new septic systems.

10.       Request for LarsonAllen as Auditors for 2004 Township Audit.  Engagement letter to be signed by board. (2 copies)

11.       2005 Junk Amnesty:  Saturday, July 30, 2005.  Dick Naaktegeboren will continue as coordinator; STS is available and contract is forwarded to J. R. Appliance (same rates as 2004) and Waste Management has been contacted.  Dick will acquire the other vendors.

12.       MNDOT request to change access road for cemetery on Highway 24. Township Attorney, Tim Young, is to obtain copy of last deed and to assist in proving that township owns cemetery.

13.       Hemlock/80th Street Assessment.   Roger Millner, M and M Bus Service, has offered to pay a $10,000 assessment towards the road’s reconstruction and paving project.  A statement has been issued for $5,000 payable in 2005 and $5,000 payable in 2006.

14.       Corinna Township 2005 Local Board of Review and Equalization Meeting has been set for Thursday, April 14 at 3 p.m.  Contact Wright County Assessor, if this date must be changed prior to February 15, 2005.

15.       Maintenance Men Wage Review Date

            Wright County Township Officer Association’s Annual Trip to Capitol, Thursday, January 27, 2005.  Carpools will leave Buffalo Walmart at 8:30 a.m. or you can meet in St. Paul at the State Office Building, Room 400S.  Goal is to get as many people as can to attend this lobby day.  Attendees do not have to be town board members.
