Approve or Amend:  Township Meeting Minutes, May 4, 2004

Approve or Amend:  Consent to the May 18, 2004 Agenda or add/remove items

A copy of the previous meeting minutes and the agenda are available for those attending.

 

Requests to be on the agenda:

1. 7:00 Greg Simon, 6918 80th Street NW.  Request a variance for a home less than 100’ from the ordinary high water mark of the lake.

2. 7:15 Bruce Prevost, contractor representing David Leslie, 8783 Ingram Ave NW.  Request a variance for a building constructed that would be too close to bluff.

3. 7:30 Robert Tregillis, purchasing property at 6310 County Road 39 NW.  Hobby Farm with 10 acres of which 5 acres would be fenced for containing six dogs.  Requests a Conditional Use Permit.

4. 7:45 Dean Voss, contractor representing Dan and Bonnie Shay of 9362 Kramer Avenue NW, Clearwater Lake.   Request variances for updating a cabin.  Road is below the flood plain,  new sewer system at 42’ setback from the lake, sewer is 5’ from one neighbor’s property line and the lot is undersized.

8 p.m.  Road Reconstruction Informational Meeting -  103rd Street NW, West Side of Clearwater Lake.

 

 

Other Requests:

1.         Isaak Avenue to 75th  and 78th Street Projects:  May 14,  Attorney Tim Young forwarded a second easement request to the 8 remaining property owners.  (copy on file)  Preconstruction Conference, May 11, 2004.  Work may begin Monday, May 24.

2.         80th Street/Hemlock Road Improvement.  Preconstruction Conference, May 11, 2004.  Work may begin Monday, May 24.  Copy of Wetland Replacement Conservation Act Application, dated 5/12/04, is on file.  DNR Application for Permit, dated May 14, 2004, to extend the 48” culvert 10’ for this wetland project is on file.  Township Attorney Tim Young forwarded a copy of letters to two remaining property owners that need to sign easement agreements.

3.         Topfer Road Relocation Project.  If one property easement is signed, contractor is ready to begin Friday, May 21.

4.         Realign 110th and Gulden.  Work to begin 3rd week of May.

5.         Overlay for Ireland, Imhoff, Illsley and Ingram Avenue.  Astech has submitted a bid. (copy to board at meeting)

6.         Website.  Bill Lieb has forwarded the photograph needed for one layout.

7.         Property with Hazardous Conditions, 11574 103rd Street NW.  After a fire, the home area has not been cleaned up.  Building Inspector will make a site visit.  Township Board sent a letter to Planning and Zoning that town board is aware property owner is in process of obtaining variances for a permit to rebuild, but the property must be cleaned up and fenced at this time.

8.         Dog Control:  Chairman Dave Stumpf to confirm that Sue Eaton will continue as dog control officer.

9.         Lake Center Bar and Grille.  John Dearing is to follow up on report that cemetery on the property will have a fence or another measure to deter customer parking in the cemetery area.

10.       Clearwater River Watershed District Informational Meeting held May 8 at Town Hall.  Board Supervisor Bill Lieb planned to attend.  CRWD, Merle Anderson has asked if a follow report on this meeting could be added to our next newsletter.  CRWD offered to provide partial payment for this mailing.

11.       Chairs needed for town hall meetings.  36 stackable chairs should be considered.

12.       2003 Population:  State Demographer reported Corinna Township population estimate as 2,441 and 962 households.

14.       Permits issued 4/13/04-5/12/04 (24):  2-new homes; 6-garages; 6-new septic systems; 4-additions; 2-land alterations; 2-sheds and 2-pole barns.

15.       Wright County Sheriff’s Office – 1st Quarter Summary report for law enforcement activity and crimes in Corinna Township.  (Board copy at meeting)
