Approve or Amend:  Township Meeting Minutes:  October 19, 2004

 

Approve or Amend:  Consent to the November 9, 2004 Agenda or add/remove items.

 

A copy of the previous meeting minutes and this meeting's agenda are available for those attending this meeting.

 

 

 

Requests to be on the Agenda:

 

1. 7:00 Renee, Cardarelle, Chair, Heart of the Lake Trail Committee.

Discuss the         expectations of the Heart of the Lakes Committee and

the township board express        its own needs and expectations.

 

2.  7:30 CANCELLED, for future date.Judy Martin, 7590 Isaak Ave NW.

Plans to add      attached garage.  Variance needed for side lot less

than 15'.  Garage will not          exceed the 563 s/f remaining

amount of the 15% coverage allowed.  Breezeway     will connect to 2nd

floor of the attached garage.

 

3.  7:45 Joe and Marlie Harbinson, 10907 Lawrence Ave, Lot 31,

De-o-na-go-no Point,          Clearwater Lake.  Replace cabin with a

home that would be handicap accessible.    Lot is100x650 of which part

is across road.  Request 34' set back from the lake.  House would be

over 15% rule.  Has site survey, house plans and design for     mound

septic system.

 

4. 8:00 Jeff Nonhof, property address:  7240 120th St NW.(rescheduled from 10/19/04)

 

            Request for variance to add a 15' deck to home that is too

close to lake.  Has   survey.

 

5. 8:10  Greg Simon, 6918 80th Street NW.  Request for variances for side lot and too close to lake for new septic system.

 

6. 8:20  Mike Hilgert, 6523 117th Street NW.  Present petition to post speed limit sign.

 

7. 8:30  Kenneth J. Johnson, 10793 Lawrence Ave NW, Part of Lots 15, 26

and 27, De-o-     na-go-no Point.  Request variance to enclose patio

into a screened porch that is    connected to guest room that is part of

garage.  Request to install a bathroom in      the guest room.  Existing

structure is within the road right of way and 8' from     south side lot

on an undersized lot.  Existing lot coverage exceeds 15% rule and

overall impervious coverage exceeds 25%.    (Bd of Adj 11/5/04)

 

 

8. 8:45  John Kittok, contractor representing John Pellegrene, 11305

89th Street NW,   Pleasant Lake.  Plans to add 8' onto 3-season porch.

Request variance for being      too close to the lake.

 

9. 8:55  Thomas and Shirley Olson, 9702 102nd St NW.  Plan to remove

cabin and       contruct a home.  Lot is 50' x 187'.  Plan to replace

septic system.  Has survey.        Request variances for too close to

sidelot and undersized lot.

 

10.       John Ashland, 11430 103rd St NW.  Letter dated 10/29/04

stating request for   snowplowing of dedicated road (103rd St NW).

David Gelperin, 11535 103rd St           NW, gives written permission to

use parts of their lot 19 and 20 as is necessary for             a turn

around area when snow plowing.

Other Items:

 

1.         80th Street Road Project:  Board received copy of Otto

Associates letter, 10/20/04,      to Buffalo Bituminous confirming $1.50

per cubic yard for importing topsoil;    discussion of additional

clearing to be done, culverts that need FES installed and      areas

that need additional work.

 

2.         Isaak Ave and 78th St Project.  Telephone calls still being

received requesting that         mailboxes may be installed by

residences.

 

3.         103rd Street Reconstruction.  Update.

 

4.         110th and Gulden Road Change.  During last heavy rain, large

amounts of water             flowed into the Phillip Otto garage, 10966

Gulden Ave NW.

 

            Road vacation billing and shared road reconstruction

expenses have been          forwarded to Dick Naaktgeboren.

 

5.         89th Street Paving Project.  Informational hearing to be in

December.    

 

6.         General Election held November 2, 2004.  Voting Roster listed

1538 registered            voters:  Corinna Township had 1476 voters,

with 240 new registrations, 137          absentee and overseas ballots.

A great turn out of voters.

 

7.         Robert J. Miner, Lot 11, Block 1, Spruce Grove 3rd Addition.

Attorney forwarded       a quit claim deed to the Miners on 10/28/04.

 

 

8.         Wokson, et al v. State Bank of Rogers.  Notice of Intent to

Proceed to Default             Judgment.  Default hearing 9 a.m.,

November 29, 2004.

 

9.         $465,000 General Obligation Improvement Bond and $375,000

General          Obligation Certificate of Indebtedness.  Kennedy and

Graven forwarded copy of            filing 8038-G Information Return for

the Tax-Exempt Governmental Obligations.

 

10.       Highway 55 Coalition:  Next full membership meeting date:

November 19, 2004.

 

11.       Website:  If his own workload permits, Brian Munsterteiger

hopes to train the    clerk in the updating of the webside during

December.

            League of Minnesota Cities received annual update of Corinna Township Board officials

 

            Wright County Sheriff's Office forwarded 3rd Quarter Summary Report for law enforcement activity and crimes in township. 

 

            Wells Fargo, letter 11/1/04, stated ability to provide customized financing.

 

            Admin Minnesota - contracts for computers and software services.

 

            Auditor's Update, 11/4/04 - State Auditor Invites Local Government Officials to Training Session for GASB; Eligible Cities and Towns will receive free copy of CTAS, accounting software.

 

            Auditor's Update, 10/21/04 - National School Fitness Foundation Executives face felony charges, 11 Cities in danger of losing local government aid as have failed to report financial information; updated reporting requirements available on line.

 

            McKnight Foundation-Conservation Fund - offer workshop November 10 covering saving natural resources - board received registration info 10/24/04.
