Approve or Amend:  Consent to the October 19, 2004 Agenda or add/remove items.

1. 7:15 Jeff Nonhof, 7240 120th St NW.  Request for variance to add a 15' deck to home that is too close to lake.  Has survey.  P&Z 10/23/04

 

2.  7:30 Steve Wiltermuth, 11955 Hart Ave NW. (10/5 request continued) Parcel survey shows a 16.5 easement.  Wishes to know what easement covers.

 

3.  7:35 Larry Anholt, property address:  11996 103rd St NW.  Owns 4 plotted lots and 1 unplotted lot.  Wishes to split lots into two 20,000 s/f lots.

Additional land to be vacated?   Original part of road vacation billing.

 

5.         General Election:  Tuesday, November 2, 2004.  Three student

election judges have been trained and one student judge will work at morning, afternoon and evening shifts.  159 Absentee Ballots have been mailed as of this date.  More requests are expected.  Legal notice in two town newspapers and posted that Public Accuracy Test of the Optical Scan Voting Machine will be Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10 A.M. at the town hall.  Political Director for Mark Kennedy for Congress requested and was mailed a list of the township judges. Gloria Gooler, Election Supervisor, letter of October 14, states judges will be under intense public scrutiny on the day of the election.  All township election officials are to attend a meeting October 27 to learn what we might expect to happen during polling hours and after the polls close on

election day.           

 

6.         Change of November Township Meeting Dates.  As the General

Election is the day of the next Corinna's regularly scheduled township board meeting, the board had approved the meeting date change to Tuesday, November 9, 2004 as the only meeting for month of November. Date change is being published in the two official newspapers and posted.

 

7.         Lot 11, Block 1, Spruce Grove 3rd Addition - change of fee

title to Township, Attorney Tim Young letter of 10/6/04.

 

8.         2004 Township Road Mileage Certification.  2003 submitted

64.18, which included .8 mile for Seerti Hills.

 

9.         Highway 55 Corridor Coalition Full Membership Meeting,

October 15, 2004.   Comment.

 

10.       Township Officers' Association Quarterly Meeting, October 7,

2004.  Comment.

 

11.       Building Permits Issued:  9/14-10/7/04  (13)  2-new homes;

1-shed; 2-storage buildings; 2-decks; 1-grain bin; 1-addition; 4-septic systems.

                        10/14/04 Wright County Public Health is sponsoring public influenza vaccination on Wednesday, October 20, from ll:00-5:00 at the Buffalo Covenant Church for those people who face a high risk of complications from influenza.  Homeland Health Specialists, Inc. will charge $20 for individuals not insured.

 

                        Auditor's Update, 10/7/04:  1.  State Auditor establishes working group to discuss Fire Relief Association Pension Plan Issues; 2.  Legal Compliance Guide Updated; 3.  Statements of position on Contractor's bonds available and 4.  Check 21 update.

 

                        Hanratty Associates sponsor free half day seminar to share new accounting and financial reporting requirements for public sector employers to comply with GASB - 11/4/04, Double Tree Hotel

at Park Place, 9a.m.-12.00p.m.   Also free half-day seminar , 1-4p.m.
