CORINNA TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

Unofficial Minutes

 

 

 

Present: Steve and Diane Wiltermuth, and Town Board:  Chairman Dave Stumpf, Supervisor John Dearing, Supervisor Bill Lieb and Clerk/Treasurer Vi Novotne

 

Meeting opened promptly at 7 p.m..  With motion by John Dearing, second Bill Lieb, the Corinna Township Board Meeting Minutes of October 5, 2004 were approved as printed.

 

Bill Lieb presented motion to approve agenda with one deletion of Jeff Nonhof, rescheduled for November 9 meeting.  With John Dearing, second, the motion carried.

 

 

 

Requests to be on the Agenda:

 

1.         Steve and Diane Wiltermuth, 11955 Hart Ave NW. (10/5 request

continued)

 

Steve Wiltermuth asked what the 16.5 easement shown on his recent survey covers. After referring to the section maps, the board indicated that the easement is shown as a 32' road.

 

2.         Larry Anholt, property address:  11996 103rd St NW - Absent

 

 

 

Other Items:

 

1.         80th Street Reconstruction and paving:  Ditch work and some

fill areas remain to be done.

 

2.         Isaak Ave and 78th St Project, Cedar Acres.  In response to

several telephone calls, John Dearing stated that mailboxes may be reinstalled after the ditch work is completed.  The second paving lift will be applied next year.

 

3.         103rd Street Reconstruction.  Surveying will commence this

week.

 

4.         110th and Gulden Road Change.  Township shared costs are to

be billed to Dick Naaktgeborenr.

 

5.         General Election:  Tuesday, November 2, 2004.  Hours 7AM-8PM.

Three student election judges have been trained and one student judge will work at the morning, afternoon and evening shifts.  159 Absentee Ballots have been mailed as of this date.  More requests are expected. Legal notices in two town newspapers and posted that Public Accuracy Test of the Optical Scan Voting Machine will be Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the town hall.  Wright County Election Supervisor's letter of October 14 states judges will be under intense public scrutiny on the day of the election.  Clerks are to attend a meeting October 27 to learn what might be expected to happen during polling hours and after the polls close on election day.

 

6.         Change of November Township Meeting Dates:  As the General

Election is the day of the next Corinna regularly scheduled township board meeting, the board had approved the meeting date change to Tuesday, November 9, 2004 as the only meeting for month of November. Date change is being published in the two official newspapers and posted

at town hall.   

 

7.         Lot 11, Block 1, Spruce Grove 3rd Addition - change of fee

title to Township.  The board agreed that this parcel should be removed from the tax rolls and Township Attorney Tim Young should forward a Quit Claim Deed to Robert Miner for signature and have the document recorded.

 

8.         2004 Township Road Mileage Certification. 64.18 miles, the

same mileage as indicated for 2003, is to be certified to the Wright County Highway Department.

 

9.         Highway 55 Corridor Coalition Full Membership Meeting,

October 15, 2004.  No comment.

 

10.       Township Officers' Association Quarterly Meeting, October 7,

2004.  Bill Lieb commented that the Sheriff's Department is promoting methdane education  and township should consider a presentation at one of the town board meetings.

 

11.       Building Permits Issued 9/14-10/7/04 (13)  2-new homes;

1-shed; 2-storage buildings; 2-decks; 1-grain bin; 1-addition; 4- septic systems.

 

12.       Heart of the Lake Trail   Board received a copy of the Heart

of Lakes Trail Meeting Minutes of 9/9/04 and noted that Chair Renee Cardarelle has been placed on the township board meeting agenda for November 9.

 

 

 

With o further business to be brought before the board, Bill Lieb's motion, second by John Dearing, the township meeting adjourned at 8:15
