4. Kevin Bogren, Clearwater Lake, 11297 Lawrence Ave NW (PID 206-019-00041) The existing sewage treatment system failed and must be upgraded and due to the lot size, space allows only a holding tank. With motion by Bill Lieb, second by Ken Jude, the board approved to allow the holding tank to be placed up to the edge of the right of way but not on the right of
way. Chairman John Dearing signed the Property Line Administrative Form.
5. Mark Lampi, Lampi Auctioneers, Inc, 9094 64th St NW, (PID 206-106-001011) Plan is to build addition onto sales building. Bill Lieb presented motion to approve variance for a 24x60’ pole building with 14’ side walls that will be 16’ from the rear property line at the closest point. Reason: Board allowed 16’ as out lot will never have buildings as much of it is wetland. Ken Jude, second. Approved.
6. Mike and Diane Rosenow, 11018 Guildner Ave NW, Lot 7, Block 1, Indian Point. Wright County Board of Adjustment forwarded response form. The Rosenows need a variance to replace porch with a 14x18 screen porch and a 10x14 deck 30’ from the lake and 12’ from the side property line on an undersized lot. Property owner was absent. No action.
Maintenance Men Meeting: Mark Miller and Douglas Smith did not attend.
1. Mark Miller has been selected to be interviewed for Jury Duty.
Board noted that full compensation will be paid for time spent in the jury duty process.
Other Items:
1. 89th and Linn Paving Project. When Plans and Specifications are approved for project, advertised bids will be received August 11, 2005. Public Hearing on Final Assessments is planned for August 16, 2005.
2. 79th and Iten Paving Project. When Plans and Specifications are approved for project, advertised bids will be received August 11, 2005. Public Hearing on Final Assessments is planned for August 16, 2005.
3. 103rd Street Reconstruction: Contractor is removing stumps. Wright Hennepin will move electric poles next week.
The Septic and Well Inventory has been completed and town board has set Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m., at town hall, for the Informational Meeting to discuss the inventory results with the property owners. Each property owner received a meeting notice.
4. Junk Violations:
Steve Leinonen, 11718 Kramer Ave NW: Deadline: June 30, 2005 – extended one week. Unlicensed or inoperable vehicles are to be removed or violation will be referred to appropriate agency for criminal prosecution.
Paul Curtis, 6435 102nd Street. Unlicensed or inoperable vehicles have been removed
No further action to be taken.
Hansford Gordon, property at 6400 102nd Street NW. Deadline: June 25, 2005. Supervisor Bill Lieb made a site visit and noted that the 12 junk vehicles and possibly more vehicles besides two old boats on trailers, stove, washing machine and assorted junk have not been removed. Bill’s Lieb recommended, and the Board approved referral to County Sheriff for action.
5. City of Annandale. The town board has been invited and will be attending a meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 21, 2005 at the Annandale City Hall to discuss a proposed Land Use Plan that the City intends to use as a guide for development. This meeting is intended to get comments with regard to land use planning as well as to develop a basis for the plan.
6. Sugar Highlands Road Vacation. The hearing will be July 19, 2005, 7 p.m. at the town hall. Legal notices have been published in the town newspapers, notice posted, and individual notices mailed to each property owner affected by the proposed vacation.
7. Junk Amnesty, July 30, 2005. The “Corinna News”, the township newsletter, will include a list of items that may be recycled and costs and should be in the mail to all property owners by the 15th of July. All vendors are to be called to verify that they are scheduled.
Volunteers and youth workers are needed. Follow up report at next township meeting.
8. Wright County Township Officer’s Association Quarterly Meeting: Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Silver Creek Township Hall, 3827 134thSt NW, Monticello. Board received a copy of the last meeting’s minutes.
9. State of Minnesota State Auditor Best Practices Survey covering Contracting and Procurement, is due July 15, 2005. Board will not be forwarding comments.
10. Clerk will be attending the Township Officers Summer Short Course, July 11, 2005 at St. Cloud.
11. North Corinna Cemetery. Board discussed the ongoing maintenance of the cemetery.
The cemetery is routinely mowed weekly, some of the headstones have been reerected and cemented, and last year several trees had been planted. Sentence to Serve has assisted the maintenance men in the cemetery’s maintenance. Channel 5 television reporter had called that there was a complaint about the cemetery and wished to interview the cemetery caretakers. After discussing the location, John Dearing and the reporter determined that the complaint was for a nearby cemetery on private land
12. Payment of Claims. Checks 12788-12829, Electronic Transfers 86-89 for a total amount of $211,285.73 were approved for payment. The Statement of Receipts and Disbursements for this date will be revised when the County forwards the tax settlement and assessments later this week..
