ANNUAL MEETING

The Annual Meeting of Corinna Township will be held March 11, 2003 at 8:15 p.m. at the Town Hall. Reports will be given of completed 2002 activities, items planned for 2003, and proposals for 2004 actions.

The most important agenda item is the adoption of the 2004 budget. This will fund the 2004 activities and will determine the 2004 Township tax rate. Setting the Township budget is the unique feature of Township government. The voters in attendance determine the amount of revenue the Township has to work with. Take advantage of the opportunity to voice your opinion and set priorities. SEE YOU AT THE ANNUAL MEETING!

TOWNSHIP ELECTION

The polls will be open from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on March 11 to elect one supervisor. Three candidates have filed: John Dearing (incumbent), Peter Flatten, and Donald Lind. Exercise your right. Vote for the candidate of your choice.

UNLICENSED VEHICLES AND JUNK ON PROPERTIES

Corinna Township is a beautiful place. Most property owners take care of their property in a manner that reflects pride of ownership and a concern for the beauty of the neighborhood. The Town Board occasionally has received complaints of an accumulation of unlicensed vehicles or other unsightly junk. The County Attorney and the Sheriff have set up a procedure to deal with the problems. Most people, who have received a violation letter, have corrected the problem. A few cases are making their way through the process which could result in court action.

DOG ORDINANCE

Corinna Township has obtained the services of Sue Eaton as our animal control person. Most of her activities have dealt with lost or stray animals. If you have a problem with a stray animal, contact Sue at 963-6249.
