The consensus of those attending the Annual Meeting in March, 2005, was for the Board to move ahead with the planning for a new town hall and to obtain cost estimates. When these were in place, the board was to call a Special Meeting to approve or reject the project.
As stated in our July “Corinna News”, there are many reasons for considering the construction at this time. First, more space is needed for the equipment. Second, as the population of the Township continues to grow, office space is needed in order to have room for equipment and record storage. Third, the meeting room can not always accommodate all the people attending special meetings. Fourth, interest rates are still favorable.
All township residents who are eligible voters will be able to vote on the question.
